People throughout Europe enjoy savoury snacks made by the Intersnack Group every day. Its brands have become consumer favourites and includes potato chips, nuts, baked products and specialty snacks. Intersnack is a privately owned company and one of the leading manufacturers of savoury snacks in Europe with an annual turnover of more than €2.7 billion.
As part of a data center relocation project, Intersnack chose AWS as the platform for an interim data center. Designed to host several applications, Intersnack used the platform to both prove that the AWS services would meet their requirements, and to refine the strategy for building the core foundation services in the cloud. As the number of candidate applications increased, it became clear that applying a comprehensive, structured approach to deliver the core foundations was urgently needed to provide the balance between governance and control against the required speed of migrations.
